The Alma Mobile application offers a practical solution for library staff by enabling direct access to task lists and fulfillment activities away from the traditional service desk environment. This mobility facilitates increased flexibility and efficiency, reducing reliance on paper-based lists and allowing staff to navigate the library while managing essential tasks through their mobile devices.

Key features of Alma Mobile include:

<li>Ability to review the Pick from Shelf list across multiple library locations</li>
<li>Filtering options by request date, location, call number, or designated destination</li>
<li>Item scanning capability to determine their appropriate processing paths</li>
<li>Monitoring of items abandoned on tables and shelves to optimize inventory management</li>
<li>Barcode scanning via built-in device cameras or portable wireless barcode scanners</li>
</ul>

Accessing Alma Mobile requires the system's URL and valid user credentials. The platform is built on the Ex Libris Alma library services framework and is primarily designed for use by public and technical services staff within academic and research libraries. While Alma Mobile complements the desktop version—continuing to support comprehensive traditional library functions—it enhances operational workflows through increased mobility.
